Go Booze Cruising To Cherbourg
With Martin on May 31st 2008Back by popular demand. I'm leading
another booze cruise to France with Irish Ferries.
Irish Ferries new winter/spring schedule limits the opportunities to get
to Cherbourg for day out visiting the supermarkets and wine merchants.
Sadly most departures arrive at 5.30pm and depart at 9.00pm. However there
is a slot just before peak season, but going to Roscoff rather than
Cherourg.
We'll
depart at 17.30 on Friday May 30th arriving the next day at 10.30 and
departing at 18.30 to return to Rosslare on the Sunday at 10.00.
On the Friday evening of each trip I’ll host a tasting of wines that
will be available ashore and discuss what kinds of wines and prices
you can expect to see. Then on Saturday while we are in port I’ll lead
an excursion to some of the wine shops and be on hand to give advice as
you ‘fill yer boots’ with bargains.
