Irish Based Websites
Information Sites & Bloggers
www.thewineroom.ie Site sponsored by importer Gilbeys which Martin Moran writes for regularly. Much more than just Gilbeys' products though as there's  a wide range of views and news + a discussion board. Site put on hold in Jan 2005 but the discussion board still operates and there's an archive of my articles for them.
www.wineireland.ie Wine Ireland magazine's site with sample articles taken from the magazine.
www.foodandwine.net Hosted by Paolo Tullio of The Independent,
www.forkncork.com Food & Wine' editor Ernie Whalley's personal, idiosyncratic and down to earth view of the world of grub, grain and grape.
www.theimbiber.blogspot.com  Mystery blogger who seems to talk a fair amount of sense.
Education
www.wineboard.com The wine development board organise W.S.E.T. courses across Ireland in around 30 locations covering everything from basic non exam based introduction to wine nights and the two year diploma course.
Retailers
www.wineonline.ie Probably the first Irish on line store and they've survived.
www.millwinecellar.ie Maynooth's finest.
www.simplywines.ie Techie turned wino Ian Dornan runs a pretty smart operation with well chosen and well priced wines
International Sites
www.wineoftheweek.com One woman show from Sue Courtney that packs an amazing amount in. She says 'wine, food, books, news and reviews with the emphasis on New Zealand', but there's much more.
www.jancisrobinson.com The world according to Jancis. She's so smart and tastes and writes so well, what can you say except 'we are not worthy'.
www.wine-searcher.com The best wine price comparison site on the web by a mile.
www.wine-pages.com Tom Cannavan's site is a mine of information and justly one of the world's most popular I'm told. Founded in the web stone age, ie 1995.
www.vineatransaction.com  Feel like buying a French vineyard? This should be your first stop.

many more links to come when (if?) I get the time
