Oddbins are holding a press tasting today April 1st and Martin will be attending and then discussing what is hot or new at the Irish outpost of Britain's best chain of off-licences on the Sean Moncrieff Show on from 3.20pm onwards.

Consequently I can't say what we'll be tasting, but I will update this page as soon afterwards as I can. wines tasted were both from the same Italian (Sicilian) producer, Cusamano, a Grecanico (white and surprisingly rich ,and nutty with orange fruit) and a Nero d'Avola (red with good weight of fruit and perfume). Both are €8.99.

I'll also be give mentioning a couple of consumer tastings that are coming up shortly: 

The first is at Gibneys' pub  in Malahide on April 18th to celebrate to celebrate their winning the National Off Licence Association's off-licence of the year award. it runs from 5pm to 10pm and tickets are €15. 50%of sales donated to Malahide Community School's new hall.

The second is being organised by the Mill Wine Cellar in Maynooth on April 21st at the Glenroyal Hotel, Maynooth from 7pm. Tickets are €12.
