Australian Wines From the Australian Prestige Wine Portfolio
Australian Prestige Wines is a Melbourne based company that acts as what the French would call a negociant or merchant. They deal with smaller wine producers who perhaps don't have the scale to export by themselves. APW sell within Australia and also around the world. (www.apw.com.au). Main agents in the UK for most, but not all, of their wines are Southern Wine & Liquor Co. (www.southernwine.co.uk). I don't have UK prices but taking off just over 1/3rd converts roughly from sterling to Euro.

The following selection are imported into Ireland by Baland & Associates (tel: 01-453-3450)

Donnelly River Wines, Pemberton, W.A

A cut above almost all other Australian sauvignon blancs with an enticing mix of lemon peel , mineral, pear and gooseberry fruit.
